The Paramount is a Direktor Built 100ft. aluminum boat, licensed to carry over 100 passengers. The original "Paramount" was a 52 foot wooden boat and sailed it's first trip from the Manasquan Inlet in 1932.

In 1934 with Capt. John Bogan Sr., Capt. John Bogan Jr., Capt. James Bogan and a crew of about 10, the Paramount sailed East out the Manasquan Inlet approximately 10 miles. The Paramount and her crew, being one of the first boats to arrive, rescued 67 passengers and crew from the burning cruise ship Morro Castle.
